Metro Line 1

The city's first metro line runs from Bến Thành in the centre to Suối Tiên in Thủ Đức, with stops near the Opera House, Ba Son and Thảo Điền. Buy single tickets at stations or pay by contactless card.

Buses

City buses cover most districts and are very cheap. Use the BusMap app to plan routes and see arrival times.

Ride-hailing and taxis

Grab, Xanh SM and Be offer cars and motorbike taxis at fixed prices shown in the app. For street taxis, choose a large company and make sure the meter is running.

River bus

The Saigon Waterbus leaves from Bạch Đằng pier and follows the Saigon River towards Thủ Đức — a scenic way to see the skyline.
