A brand-new building inaugurated on 3 January 2025 and ranked a Class I museum since June 2025 — the only place that tells the story of President Ton Duc Thang's life as a system of five themes.

Ton Duc Thang Museum was founded in 1988 to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of President Ton Duc Thang (20 August 1888 – 20 August 1988). It was originally called the Exhibition House on the Life and Career of President Ton Duc Thang; in 1990 the Ministry of Culture renamed it the Ton Duc Thang Museum. It is a unit under the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City. The present building is entirely new: construction began on 21 February 2021, the structural work was completed on 6 July 2023, the exhibition was installed from 22 December 2023 to 25 November 2024, and the museum was inaugurated on 3 January 2025. The building has four above-ground floors and one basement, a construction area of 1,722 sq m, a total floor area of 8,551 sq m and an investment of 275 billion VND. On 20 June 2025 the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism classified the museum as Class I under Decision No. 2086; before that it had been Class II under Decision No. 4602 of 26 August 2017. Around 1,000 artefacts, photographs and documents are on display, arranged in five themes that follow the course of his life: Childhood and youth; From worker to leader of the Saigon labour movement; Fifteen years of imprisonment on Con Dao; A nucleus of national unity; A President of the country. The first three themes are on the third floor, the last two together with the interactive room are on the fourth floor, and there is also a short-term thematic room whose content changes from time to time. Many artefacts came from named donors: Mrs Ton Thi Bach Tuyet, a niece of Uncle Ton, gave archival photographs; Mr Vien Hong Quang, representing the AIDAY Company, gave 24 documentary films from the 1964–1976 period. The director of the museum is Mr Pham Thanh Nam.
