Founded in 1997 by Mr Huynh Anh Tuan, Idecaf (the Institute for Cultural Exchange with France) is one of the most enduring privately run drama stages in southern Vietnam. It is known for social and psychological plays and above all for its children's theatre brand Ngay xua ngay xua (Once Upon a Time), a recurring programme bound up with the childhood of several generations born and raised in Ho Chi Minh City.
